Bahrs gruve ligger ca 800 m sydvest for Barsvatnet i Vesterdalen og ca. 1.5 km fra veien mellom Porsa og Porsa-gruvene regnet fra den nedre enden av Storvatnet. Adkomsten er enklest fra Storvatnet. Bahrs gruve ble sannsynligvis funnet rundt 1900 samtidig med Bachkes gruve. Iallfall rapporteres den i løpet av Bachkes første driftsperiode mellom 1900 og 1906. Selve gruven består av tre synker som er drevet i et noe myrlent terreng. Det er ikke mulig å studere malmgangen i synkene så alle observasjoner kommer fra materiale på de små tippene. Gruva har aldri vært i ordinær drift og det er heller ikke rapportert om noen prøvedrift av betydning. Bahrs gruve er drevet på flere parallelle kvarts-kalkspat-ganger som stryker NV-SØ med varierende men steilt fall. Gangene er omgitt av Nussir-gruppens grønnsteiner som stryker NØ-SV i dette området. Mineraliseringen består hovedsakelig av kobberkis, svovelkis og magnetitt med noe hematitt i en gangmasse av kvart, kalkspat. Sulfidene opptrer som uregelmessige sprekker og klyser i gangen. Mineraliseringen ligner svært på de gangmineraliseringene vi finner ved Bachkes gruve.
