| duing the 1970s Norsk Hydro investigated the nefelinsyenites of the Lågen valley, with respect to their potential as raw materials for Al metal production in a modified Volkow process. this deposit is the second investigated area. It comprises a belt of nepheline rich rocks that extends from Ono on the eastern shore of Lake Farris and north eastwards past Kattlibakken. Areas with up to 44% nepheline was found. The references give detail information of the project. |
