Mineraliseringen ligger 4 km øst for Suoluvuobmi Fjellstue, og 2 km fra nærmeste bilvei (Alta-Kautokeino). Ei mindre røskegrop (0.5x1.5 m) ligger i karbonatrike, båndete glimmerskifre i et område som er dominert av båndet amfibolitt. Blokker i og ved gropa er sterkt forvitra, dels grafittførende og få blokker med kvarts, svovelkis og kobberkis er identifisert. Sør for gropa finnes kobberkis på opptil 20 cm brede kvartsganger som skjærer foliasjonen i amfibolitt, som dels er båndet. En prøve fra en slik kvartsgang inneholder 0.5 ppm gull.
