Mineraliseringen ligger 16 km VNV for Kautokeino og ble påvist under blokkleting av GM i 1959. Ujevn disseminasjon av kobbersulfider finnes over flere hundre meters lengde i pyroksenførende amfibolitt nær grensen til Raisædno gneiskompleks i vest. Denne grensesonen er også gjennomsatt an mindre granitter.
