| Description |
| Bergarten er kvartsrik glimmerskifer, stedvis med granat på spalteplan. Den spalter for det meste i tykkelser på 1-2 cm. Flatene er tildels ganske ujevne og ruglete og har mørk grå farge. Takskifer har vært produktet som er laget her. Bruddet er 30-40 m langt, og mektigheten er ca. 10 m. Ikke mye takskifer kan være produsert her. Like SØ for bruddet er skiferen foldet og ubrukbar. Det er også skifrige soner videre oppover lia, men det ble ikke funnet spor etter forsøk på drift. Et sted ser det i alle fall ut til å være brukbar murestein (193960101). |

| 9,5 km fra Olderbakken oppover Skibotndalen tar en vei av fra E8 og går i ØNØ-retning rett mot bruddet. Der veien slutter er det 130 m fram til bruddet som ligger nær bunnen av den bratte lia. |
