Description

Bruddområdet ligger ca. 3 km SV for Hjelmeland på eiendommen til Sverre Håvardsheim. I samme sone litt lengre mot nord ved Askvik ligger også et brudd som ikke ble befart i 1977. Bruddhøyden er på det største ca 6-7 m. Kløven er hovedsakelig tektonisk betinget og i mindre grad av glimmersjikt. Spalteegenskapene er derfor varierende og spalteplanet hopper ofte. Stikk ødelegger også forholdene flere steder. Det finnes flere små brudd i området. Muresteinkvaliten er ikke vurdert.
