| Description |
| Drift i bruddene kan spores helt tilbake til midten av 1800-tallet, men kom i regulære former i 1875. I dag drives ett av bruddene på permanent basis. Skiferen i forekomsten er vesentlig av Sel Royal type Ottaskifer. Den er tyntspaltende og har jevn, slett til svakt ruglete kløvflate. Frisk overflate er mørk grå til sort, men også rustfarget kløvflate tas ut fra dagnært fjell. Reservene i forekomsten kan være store, men er lite undersøkt. |
