Forekomsten ligger i tett granskog sør for en bekk og en større myr i et område med få blotninger. Den består av en vannfyllt synk med vegger 2 x 6 m. I følge bonden på den nærmeste gården skal driften være gammel, omkring år 1700. Det står igjen en liten, svært rusten sulfidsone i NV-veggen, og denne er også blottet i bekken 6 m lengre NØ. Blokker på tippen er svært forvitret, men prøver semi-massiv, dels båndet magnetkis med spor av kobberkis i en amfibolrik matriks ble prøvetatt. Sidebergarten består av glimmerskifer med foliasjon 207¿/55¿.
