Mineraliseringen ble funnet i 1900 og litt røsking foretatt 1903 - 1904. Mineraliseringen strekker seg fra sjøen og nordover som en ca. 40m bred rustsone. Det er middelskornet gabbro med magnetitt- ilmenitt- svovelkisdisseminasjon (prøve 01). I denne observeres 2 ganger/linser av middelskornet massiv magnetitt- ilmenitt med svovelkis (prøve 03).
