Det er små kromitt (+-magnetitt)-mineraliseringer på flere steder i Krutvassrøddiken, men det meste av serpentinittkuppen er steril. Kromitt (+-magnetitt) opptrer vanligvis i bånd (ofte massive) av få cm mektighet og m lengde. De er vanligvis parallelle med foliasjonen i området. Kromitt og magnetitt finnes også stedvis på sprekker i serpentinitten. Den beste mineraliseringen er ved UTM 468750 7285780 med 30m langt og opptil 25cm mektig massivt kromittbånd uten magnetitt (prøve 02). Det er stedvis oppdelt i flere tynne, parallelle bånd. Det har skarpe kontakter mot sidesten. Prøve 03 er fra sidesten i kontakt med mineraliseringen. Båndet har et Ø-V-lig forløp. I øst dreier det mot sør og dør ut. Det kommer igjen ved UTM 468750 7285760 hvor det er et opptil 20cm mektig massivt kromittbånd (04) som er foldet. Det er blottet i et område på ca. 6x3m. Det er også kromitt som sprekkefylling. Ved UTM 468910 7285800 er det uregelmessige, smale bånd av massiv og disseminert kromitt (05) over noen meters lengde og 30-40cm mektighet. Ved UTM 468980 7285440 er det to 5cm mektige massive kromitt-magnetitt-bånd (01) innenfor en mektighet på 30cm i serpentinitt. Lengden er minst 2m i Ø-V-lig retning. Det er også tatt en prøve i en annen serpentinittkuppe på Middagsfjellet (UTM 463190 7284200). Her opptrer flere parallelle disseminasjonsbånd av kromitt over ca. 1m mektighet i serpentinitten (06). Båndene er sjelden over 1cm mektige og har retning 50/50. I denne serpentinittkuppen er det bare enkelte steder observert små ansamlinger av kromitt (+-magnetitt).
