Forekomsten ligger over 900 moh og enkleste adkomst er fra Gjårdvollan og sørøstover oppover ryggen mellom to mindre bekker. Det er skutt ut masse fra en 2,5 m høy nordvendt knaus som i hovedsak består av middelskornet gabbro. Gabbro er i kontakt med kvarts-glimmerskifer i nord. Opptil 20 cm brede soner med massive sulfider opptrer i klorittisert og dels silifisert gabbro. Den massive sulfidmalmen er breksjert og består av finkornet sinkblende-blyglans-magnetkis+kobberkis med fragmenter av mafiske bergarter og enkelte kvartsøyne.
