Forekomsten ligger rett på østsida av elva Lomunda. I bunnen av en brattskrent er det sprengt ut en kort stoll, kun 2,5 m lang med retning 70°, to meter over elvenivå. En sone med massive sulfider ligger i sterkt deformert grønnskifer som antas lå tilhøre den øvre sekvensen av grønnstein i Løkken-området. Den massive sulfidsonen er minst 1,2 m mektig og består av fin- til middelskornet pyritt med kun spor av kobberkis og med kvartsrik matriks. Den er best blottet i elvebredden. Tidligere undersøkelser, inkludert geofysiske målinger (Turam og VLF) og geologisk kartlegging har vist at sulfidsonen kan følges videre vestsørvestover over en lengde på 5-6 km (Bollingmo 1983).
