Mineraliseringen ligger på den østsiden av et nes som stikker ut mot nord på Finnåsvatnets vestlige bredd. Området er dekket av tett vegetasjon, og de 5 skjerpene er nesten helt overgrodd. Et av dem var vannfylt og mer enn 2 m dypt, de andre var 0.5-1 m dype. Skjerpene ligger langs to horisonter i en basaltsekvens, det er ca. 3.5 m mellem horisontere og omtrent 15 m mellem de ytterste skjerpene. Basaltens lagning ble målt i vannkanten til 36/55°Ø, og orienteringen av sulfidlagene er tilsvarende. Sulfidlaget er minst 60 cm tykt ved det vannfylte skjerpet. Malmen er laminert, finkornet, massiv og består nesten utelukkende av magnetkis, noe svovelkis ses også. Mineraliseringen er av vasskistypen. Mineraliseringen er ikke omtalt i litteraturen.
