Man kommer til skjerpet ved å kjøre 50 m mot syd etter veien mot Ådnanes, og deretter må man gå 100 m mot vest langs et gjerde. Ca. 10 m syd for skjerpet ligger en oppdemt vassdam. Skjerpet er ganske lite. Noen sulfidblokker ligger hist og her i nærheten av skjerpet. Sulfidlaget er orientert 120°/58°S og er 25-30 cm tykt. Det kan følges ca. 3 m. På begge sider av sulfidlaget ses chert som er delvis forskifret, og vertsbergarten er basalt. Mineraliseringen ligger i Geitungenheten og er den nordligste representant for denne mineraliseringstypen. 2 prøver ble innsamlet. Mineraliseringen er av vasskistypen. Mineraliseringen omtales ikke i litteraturen.
