The deposit is located in an E facing meadow, 150-170 meters above sea level, right above the crusher installation and the power station at Oltesvika. The tailings are easily seen from the road. The ore has been extracted from five pits over a 65m stretch along the NE-SW strike. The geographic coordinates refer to the longest adit at the NE end. A water filled shaft is 4m S of that, and another 25m SW, an 8m deep adit was driven. The southmost extraction pit is about 40m SW and has a short adit just over it. The tailings are deposited downhill of the extraction sites. The country rock consists of gneiss with alternating light quartzo-felspathic bands and darker more amphibolitic bands. The sulphide mineralization is mainly restricted to these amphibolite bands that may reach 4-5m thickness with locally sub-ophitic texture. Particularly around the SW extraction sites, the amphibolite has an ophitic texture. The main adit is 1.2m wide, 1.5m high and 15m deep oriented at 306E. The amphibolite ore zone is about 1.5-2m thick (220/030), subparallel to the gneiss foliation (225/025). The ore consists of irregular lenses and lumps of massive pyrrhotite and minor chalcopyrite, in addition to disseminated sulphides. The massive pyrrhotite is medium grained and up to 0.5m thick and may have brecciated structure bearing rounded amphibolite fragments (sample 01, ¿Durchbewegt¿). Chalcopyrite preferably occurs in short veins or strands, partly in the amphibolite, partly in the massive sulphide.

Abstract:
Mineraliseringen opptrer i gabbro og presset gabro-skifer som uregelmessige masser, klumper og nyrer av nikkelholdig magnetkis og noe kobberkis. Forekomstene er for fattig til å ha økonomisk verdi.

En 8 m lang stoll ligger 25 m sørvest for hovedstollen og 10 m høyere i terrenget. Bergarten i stollveggene er svært rustfarget og forvitret, men ser ut til å være dominert av amfibolitt med varierende sulfiddisseminasjon, både magnetkis og pyritt. Massiv kis er ikke påvist i fast fjell, men en prøve fra tippen består av finkornet, semi-massivt bånd med pyritt i amfibolittiske bergart (.04).

Lokaliteten består av en 7 m lang stoll med retning 305° og et innslaget som er 2 m dypt og 3 m langt i retning N-S, 5 m nedenfor denne. Begge er anlagt i amfibolitt, og ligger ca. 65 m sørvest for hovedstollen. Amfibolitten er dels sterkt knadd og har dels mer gabbroisk, subofittisk tekstur. Den fører aggregater og disseminasjon av magnetkis og kobberkis (prøve .05). I tippen i skråninga nedenfor innslaget finnes både middelskornet massiv magnetkis (.06) og gabbro med disseminasjon og årer med finkornet magnetkis og kobberkis (.07).
