| Forekomsten ligger ved sjøen i den lille bukta nord for Mikkelsnes i Steinlandsfjorden. Fra sjøen og sørøstover har det vært anlagt en rekke mindre røsk som nå delvis er gjengrodd og ingen malm er synlig. Ved sjøen er det blottet en karbonatførende bergart som fører noen få prosent med grovflakig grafitt. Hele halvøya rundt Mikkelsnes består sannsynligvis av metasedimenter med samme karbonat- og grafittbergart. |
