På Huglo finnes det en rekke kalksteinsdrag og det var kalkutvinning på flere steder. Kalken er grålig og urein . På denne lokaliteten sees rester av en gammel ovn og et gammelt brudd. I dag er området et naturreservat for sjeldne planter. Kalkforekomstene har kun historisk interesse. Kjemisk analyser vier at kalken inneholder 47.85% CaO og 6.23% MgO, noe som tilsvarer et kalkspatinnhold på 82%.
