Beskrivelse : Tektonisk strukturenhet i det prekambriske grunnfjell avgrenset i nordvest av Porsgrunn - Kristiansandsandforkastningen. I sør inndelt i en autok- ton og en parautokton del. Den autoktone delen (Agderkomplekset) repr. en del av det tilstøtende Telemarkgneiskomplekset, mens de parautoktone delen (Bamblekomplekset) repr. en fortsettelse av Kongsbergblokken. Øvre amfibolitt- til (lokalt) granulittfacies metamorfose. Mot T. gneiskomplekset foregikk en dextral strike-slip bevegelse under D3-deformasjonen.
